I had not an inkling of a clue that this place existed before I found out about the Tragic Muse Exhibit, which is glorious and well worth the trip down from the north side. Not only do they have tons of important 18th and 19th century pieces but they also have bauhaus artwork and some great post-readymade art work. While you’re there, make it a day and go see the Oriental Institute.
